Information science (also known as information studies) is a field primarily concerned with the analysis, collection, classification, manipulation, storage, retrieval, movement, dissemination, and protection of information.[1] Practitioners within and outside the field study application and usage of knowledge in organizations along with the interaction between people, organizations, and any existing information systems with the aim of creating, replacing, improving, or understanding information systems. Historically, information science is associated with computer science, psychology, technology and intelligence agencies.[2] However, information science also incorporates aspects of diverse fields such as archival science, cognitive science, commerce, law, linguistics, museology, management, mathematics, philosophy, public policy, and social sciences.

Trace Torch It is a ground event where the players will try to perform the tasks using all the clues given to them.Each task has to be performed with the least amount of time.  3 participants in a team.  Each team will be given 10min.  Non-Technical event.  Demonstration will be given in each level.  Contains 3 levels.  Winner will be decided on basis of time taken to perform each task.  Malpractice at anytime wil lead to disqualification of the wholeteam Cindrella 6363882095 Badminton court Wed 11:00:00
Picharades Where participatants read a series of pics that combine to create a word.And also act out technical words.Simlar to dumb charads bit with technical words. 1.Max 2 participants in a team. 2.Set of pictures will be given in first round. Words have to be guessed from the pictures provided. 3.Selected participants will be qualified for 2nd round. 4.In 2nd round technical word will given to participants one have to enact it and another participant have to guess the word. 5.No moving from the place and no pointing to objects in techcharads. 6.Helping other teams will lead to disqualification. Tech hunt Our treasure hunts are information-based scavenger hunts, or puzzle hunts, in which teams use their collective brainpower to solve clues.  Each team is presented with a group of puzzles, or clues, which teams must solve in order to find a piece of information 1.Max 4 participants in a team. 2.Technical based treasure hunt. 3.Contains 3 rounds. 4.Cryptic and Technical clues. 5.Sabotaging or collaborating with other teams will be disqualified immediately. 6.Using cellphone is allowed at particular levels. 7.Events are open to all circuit branches ie.CSE,IS,EEC,EEE.
